New Skills Preview

Hey folks. :D

As promised, here is a preview of some of the new skills your parties will be able to discover in the next update, which is getting pretty close to release:

Alchemy Share: A skill that allows you to use skills such as Apply Poison and Apply Neurotoxin on adjacent allies, not just yourself.

Flash Strike: An extremely fast melee attack that converts Bleed and Wound to normal physical damage, all of which is dealt at the end of the round following when it "hit".

Rushing Strike: A very fast, accurate, and powerful melee attack. However, if the target has not completed their action for the round, it will be retargeted to you if you would be a valid target.

Distract Strike: A fast, low damage attack that provides defensive benefits during the round you use it. Additionally, if the target you hit has not completed their action for the round, it will be retargeted to you if you would be a valid target.

Quivering Palm: An unarmed skill that grants two attack techniques: one which builds up Resonance on the target, and another which converts all Resonance on the target to additional damage. Rather unusually for an unarmed skill, the Resonance build up of the first attack scales with INT and WIL, rather than physical attributes, making this an interesting option for unarmed specialists who dabble in spells.

Psionics: Empathy: A new spell school containing spells that utilize emotional projection, such as Skarim, which damages all enemies based on the user's missing % of HP, and Gratu, a passive spell which heals all allies whenever the user's HP is restored to full.

Sorcery: Familiar Friends: Another new spell school, which grants passive spells that summon familiars to serve the caster. All familiars will automatically make attacks on enemies each round, and each familiar also has a passive bonus and an active or reactive ability they can use. For example, the Kokanen spell summons a canine familiar that bites enemies, provides resistance to Fear, and will sacrifice itself to heal you if you take what would otherwise be fatal damage. If the sacrifice effect is used, the familiar returns when you Heal at base.

Many other new skills have been, and will be added, as well. :) I hope everyone enjoys the new skills and the new mechanics they use once the next update is available to play. Until then, cheers and good luck on your adventures!
