An Unexpected Encounter

Hey folks. :)
Something else that is coming in the next update are a slew of new one-off events that you can come across while exploring. Among these are a new type of event I call Unexpected Encounters.
Whereas most events are visible on the world and on the map before you engage them, and take place in specific set pieces, Unexpected Encounters are not visible and may appear without warning. Each allows the option to avoid the challenge posed, but each also only appears at most once per game: if you walk away from one, you will not be able to try it again later. It will be up to you to decide if your party is in healthy enough shape to take the risk or not.
That said, these encounters can be more than worth the trouble: bonus experience and equipment with unusually high upgrade levels are only two examples of the sort of rewards you might receive for successfully overcoming the challenges posed.
This is turning out to be a pretty big update, covering visual upgrades, an opening movie, and new events, but hopefully it will prove worth the wait... and that wait shouldn't be much longer now. Not quite ready to announce a release date yet, but it should be Soon(tm).
