Making Life a Little Easier...


The 7/10/2024 update has been posted!

This is a relatively small update based on feedback I received shortly after releasing the 6/28/2024 build. It is mostly a collection of small bug fixes, balance changes, and quality of life adjustments, but a few critical ones are worth pointing out:

  • Monsters can now spawn with a range of levels up to the floor's Danger Level, instead of always spawning exactly at the floor's Danger Level. The range is initially 0 to -3 levels, growing slowly as you get further in game. (For example, at Danger Level 7, monsters can spawn that are anywhere from Level 4 to Level 7. At Danger Level 17, the range is Level 13 to 17.)
  • Evade's diminishing returns now kick in much later than before, adding more value to low to medium values of this defense.
  • Mobile enemy avatars will be sent a short distance away when you escape from them in combat, preventing you from being trapped by enemy groups your party cannot currently defeat.
  • Some notoriously dangerous monster skills like Stampede have been toned down.

These changes should make the game a bit more forgiving, especially early on when parties are still getting their bearings. Many other changes were made as well: you can read all about them in the change logs included with the downloads.
